About Me
Lara de Vries is a graduate of the University of Toronto where she earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Performance Studies, and her Master’s degree Performance Studies and Women and Gender Studies. She has worked digitizing and cataloguing early 20th century photographs, tintypes, letters, documents, textiles, engineering drawings, and ephemera (including magazines, newspapers, posters). Lara provides private scanning services for individuals, families, estates, and artists. Her artistic practices include ceramics, sewing, and knitting. She is currently a member of the Kitte Club Studio where she builds ceramic pieces inspired by the city of Toronto, art history, and her own memories.
